July 16- 23, 2011 - Eastern Caribbean Cruise with Tau Gamma

Here we go!  Flying down to Fort Lauderdale to embark on Oasis of the Seas, largest cruise ship in the world, for seven days of fun-filled adventure with high school and college, know as Tau Gamma.  Bill is not very happy about having to fly commercial instead of the RV.

That is one big ship.

Tau Gamma members as the ship gets underway.  The guy in the middle -- Stan -- clearly hasn't gotten into the swing of things yet.

Yours truly won the Tau Gamma miniture golf championship!  Yes, they have a miniture golf course on the ship.

Lynnette and Diana enjoying the good life.

Stan is feeling much better now ...

Our stateroom had its own balcony.  Coming into St. Thomas.

Partying in one of the many jacuzzis.  We spent a lot of time here.  Whoever invented those aluminum bottle-shaped cans deserves a big bonus!

On shore at St. Thomas, Lynnette met this wierd, ganja-smoking, dreadlock crazed dude.

Tau Gamma heading out to Smuggler's Cove for some snorkling.

Everyone was happy on the snorkel trip once they broke out the rum punch.

Yes, rum punch, good stuff.

Pete was runner-up in the ship's belly flop contest.  He won the crowd over early by balancing a beer on the Royal Caribbean logo covering his belly.

Stan, Chuck and I went on a scuba diving excursion which included a wreck and a friendly sea turtle.

You can see from this picture how much bigger the Oasis of the Seas is over the other ships.
